Reflection & Resilience
Closing the Year with Strength & Intention
As the year draws to a close, December invites us to pause—a moment to sit in stillness and acknowledge the ground we’ve covered. This is not just a season of twinkling lights and hurried lists but also one for reflection, resilience, and renewal.
Reflecting is a brave act. It’s choosing to celebrate the wins, no matter how big or small, and also sitting with the moments that stretched us, humbled us, or redirected us. It’s in those moments that resilience shows up, whispering: You’re stronger than you think, and you’ve already come so far.
In a year where I stepped away from the corporate world that shaped the last two decades of my life, I have so much to reflect on. Endings, after all, are always followed by new beginnings. This was also the year I launched not one, but two businesses, a podcast, and an entirely new way of living.
There were lessons:
- Reframing a “no” into a “not yet.”
- Accepting that I’m not for everyone.
- Getting really vulnerable to grow myself and my relationships.
And there were reasons to celebrate:
- Creating spaces where women are truly heard.
- Partnering with businesses that invest in their leaders.
- Sharing my unique experiences so others can learn from both my missteps and my successes.
Before the rush of 2025 planning sweeps us away, let’s honor what this year has taught us. Let’s gather the lessons—both sweet and sharp—and channel them into a foundation for what’s to come. Resilience isn’t just surviving the tough moments; it’s finding purpose and clarity within them.
This month, as you reflect, I encourage you to take pride in your growth and lean into your strength. You are capable of incredible things, and 2025 holds endless possibilities waiting to meet you. Together, let’s plan for a year that aligns with our values, fuels our passions, and embraces our full potential.
Here’s to a season of intentionality and grace—celebrating the leader you’ve been and preparing for the leader you’re becoming.

Resilience: A Feminine Strength
Resilience thrives on empathy, adaptability, self-awareness, and the ability to manage stress—all qualities women naturally bring to the table. It's no surprise, then, that women are uniquely resilient. I love how this article from my alma mater (#H2P) highlights the connection between women’s inherent strengths and their capacity for resilience. If you're a leader aiming to harness and support the resilience of the women on your team, this read offers practical strategies to implement in your workplace. Need a self-awareness workshop to unlock even more potential? I’m your woman!

Take it Off
The Title of "Supermom"
"I never wanted to be a 'supermom,' letting that one role define the whole of me." Just me, or can you relate? The author and I don’t have tidy solutions—only the reminder to shed this unrealistic expectation. As she beautifully puts it, in a life where “we're all equally worthy of the time and space to be whole,” things can get messy. But here’s the truth: “When there's more room for me to be human, I have more capacity to love you.”
I’ll just leave this here for anyone who needs the reminder today.

What I'm Loving...
out in the world,
Last month, I had the honor of collaborating with the incredible team at Stonebridge Financial to host Breakfast with Your Future Self, a special event for women. Together, we reflected on the unique journeys and experiences of everyone in the room, exploring how life's moments shape who we are. From there, we dove into ways to harness the lessons learned and envision a Future Self living with purpose and intention. It was an inspiring morning of connection and forward-thinking! Grab some time on my calendar at the link below, and let's bring this workshop to your organization in 2025.
in my ears,
I’ve been a longtime fan of Jay Shetty’s podcast On Purpose, so it’s no surprise I’m recommending an episode from December 2022. In keeping with our theme of reflection, Jay poses seven powerful questions to help listeners thoughtfully review their year. I’ve revisited this episode multiple times and can’t recommend it enough—it's the perfect listen for December of any year!
and also in my ears.
Did I mention I recently launched the podcast, Take it Off, with my good friend, Jess? Yes? Ok, full transparency, I'm a little very excited about it! Soon, all six episodes of our inaugural season will be available. If you haven't listened to Episode Two yet, check it out. We dive into our favorite self-discovery tools, and Jess even reads my natal chart...fascinating! Please give us a listen, share with your friends, and rate and review!
